About the AMF format
AMF is an XML format standardised as ISO/ASTM 52915 as an intended successor to STL. It supports units, colors, materials and curved triangles. Adoption stayed limited and most of the industry moved on to 3MF, but slicers still accept AMF files.
Commonly used by: older slicers, ASTM / ISO 52915 workflows
Plain and ZIP-compressed AMF files are read; curved-triangle data is flattened.
